I collaborate with educators, researchers, media designers, and high school teachers to design and develop learning scenarios for students at Coronado High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. A few of these are listed below with a synopsis of the work and my role in our partnership.

The sensor squid..: Creativity Interventions and the Sensor Squid :. In 2007, I worked with artist Becky Stern (makezine/craftzine.com associate editor) and colleagues in the Reflective Living Group to develop media experienes to promote creativity in the workplace. This led to the co-creation of a shared tangible interface (the Sensor Squid) and a brainstorming activity that pulled community media (such as text, images, videos, sounds) into a passive browsing tool also known as the "media jam". This tool allowed multiple participants to draw and audition media they had created and make seemingly hypothetical and sometimes arbitrary relationships between media artifacts in order to draw out their personality and their ability to perform creatively and spontaneously through play. The goal of this activity was to encourage new connections between media and work by activiting playful and pleasurable modes of thinking.
